Anica was invited by MasterCard to release world's first Master credit card with display function at Wukesong Stadium in Beijing.

Anica jointly introduced the world's first dot matrix display smart card with Taiwan's Acer Wistron Group.

TECHNOLOGY

SMART CARD

A smart card, chip card, or integrated circuit card (ICC), is any pocket-sized card with embedded integrated circuits which can process data. This implies that it can receive input which is processed — by way of the ICC applications — and delivered as an output. There are two broad categories of ICCs. Memory cards contain only non-volatile memory storage components, and perhaps some specific security logic. Microprocessor cards contain volatile memory and microprocessor components. The card is made of plastic, generally PVC, but sometimes ABS or polycarbonate. The card may embed a hologram to avoid counterfeiting. Using smart cards is also a form of strong security authentication for single sign-on within large companies and organizations.

E-PAPER DISPLAY

Electronic paper, e-paper or electronic ink display, is a display technology designed to mimic the appearance of ordinary ink on paper. Unlike a conventional flat panel display, which uses a back light to illuminate its pixels, electronic paper reflects light like ordinary paper and is capable of holding text and images indefinitely without drawing electricity, while allowing the image to be changed later. Anica embeds e-paper modules into smart card, making display smart card able to show information without constant power supply.

FINGER PRINT RECOGNITION MODULE

Finger print recognition is a bio-metric technology using algorithms to identify a scanned finger print. The identified person will be allowed to make transactions, enter a gateway, etc. Anica offers mature technology and integrate into smart card by its leading cold lamination card manufacturing capability.

PRODUCTION

COLD LAMINATION

Smart card integrated with electronic components must not be laminated under conditions such as high temperature and high pressure. Anica, after years of research and development, is able to provide a leading manufacturing capability by cold lamination. Steps include:
